Omnichannel retail operations with ship-to-store and ship-from-store options under supply disruption

Omnichannel retailing strategies are widely used in practice and have been extensively studied recent years, but few studies explored omnichannel operations response to supply disruption the post-pandemic era. To fill this gap, study explores whether adoption of fulfillment options (i.e., ship-from-store ship-to-store options) can mitigate risk a chain where retailer orders products from reliable supplier risky supplier, respectively. Under strategy, retailer’s order quantity may increase or decrease while that increase. Interestingly, it is possible achieve win–win–win outcome when high market share channel offered by low. Moreover, entire benefits strategy even if faces level risk.
